Your Birth Helper®

We help couples bring joy and happiness back into the birth process, by teaching them to work with their bodies not antagonistically against it and give birth with as few medical interventions as possible. Therefore, they experience the least amount of discomfort necessary to "give birth." My personal journey into "all things make birth easier" began in 1989 when I decided to train in The Bradley Method®. After my drug-free, natural childbirth experience, I became a Certified Instructor. I had the distinct pleasure to sit at the table with Dr. Robert Bradley himself! His witty sense of humor, coupled with his farm life training, (which he applied with great success in his OBGYN practice), further fueled my passion to empower women along this amazing journey. All mammals give birth in similar fashion. Humans are just programmed to fear birth. Sad right? I have trained and helped support natural birth since 1991. I have taught couples both privately, and group classes in various OBGYN offices around Atlanta. Years later, I took the concept of "applying relaxation to help progress labor," to next level, after attending Atlanta School of Massage, graduating and adding Certified Massage Therapist to my resume in 2009. In 2011, I started Your Birth Helper® in Charlotte, Nc. In 2020, after years of natural birthing with our own Nancy Cook, BSN at CMC Pineville hospital, our #SymbioticBirth concept was born. We knew women could have a beautiful birth even in a hospital setting, and when healthy, they experience way less interventions. I began mentoring and training future doulas to do the same. Building on that, we created our labor workshops, Symbiotic Birth course and more! The bottom line is personal training, daily practice and proper support before, during, and after labor, are keys to creating a happier "BIRTH" day! It's our specialty! It would be our pleasure to train and support you! Healthy Regards, Pamela Sauls, AAHCC, CCE, CD, CMT & our entire YBH® Symbiotic Doula Team
